Save the date magazines Shoot at Kelham Hall

Do you remember that day, where it was windy…then it rained a lot and then it snowed a lot…well that was the day I was asked if i could come along and photography an outdoor hazy bohemian styled shoot for Save the date Magazine….The one thing a remember was not being able to feel any of my fingers and my daughter, who came with me saying “mum I dont want to be a photographer”.

I guess this is why I knew I wanted to be a photography because even in the freezing cold I still loved every minute of it.

The challenge began when I got home…how do you make a freezing cold, dull and wet day look like it sunny…the answer is Photoshop…my saviour…Photoshop you have saved my life on occasions and i love you xxx

We are very lucky this week to have our seaside styled shoot and some lovely liberty themed wedding details featured in wedding magazine. I just love it when our work is in print!

A Jubilee Themed Wedding at belvoir castle

Just a few scrumpy pictures from yesterdays shoot…with the help of some amazing suppliers and a great wedding venue…Belvoir Castle.

We had some beautiful things on loan from Rockett st George and Easy flags

Michele Gledhil l created all the lovely flowers and also loaned us some vintage pieces from her collection of goodies.

The amazing cake and cookies came from Zoe Clarke who we have been friends with since we did the modern bride show a couple of years ago at Excel…..we call her our famous friend!

Some very posh finger sandwiches and nibbles were be supplied by the very talented people at Fiona Herbert Catering

Rochelle o brien was in charge of Makeup and Charlotte Wesson created the amazing hair.

A blooming brilliant jubilee themed wedding dress from Angela Vickers and some cool vintage menswear from Tweedmans Vintage.

Amanda Robertson designed the lovely head pieces and jewellery.

On the day we will be joined by the very handsome Stewart Randall from Folio albums, shooting some behind the scene footage and of course our gorgeous models for the day Alison and Matthew.

A VINTAGE JUBILEE THEMED WEDDING

Just a quick sneaky peeky at the amazing table plan we have designed and quickly photographed for our styled shoot at Belvoir Castle on Tuesday.

We have some beautiful things on loan from Rockett st George and hopefully we will be receiving a few cool jubilee themed sweets from Hope and Greenwood.

Michele Gledhil l will be creating all the lovely flowers as long as loaning us some vintage pieces from her collection of goodies and helping us style the tables.

Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Love it …This is what Philip and Laura wrote about us on their whimsical wonderland weddings questionnaire….

Your Photographer….

Our photographers were Mandy and Julie from Dottie Photography. Laura had trawled the internet and had come across Dottie and instantly fell in love with her pictures. It was soon decided that Dottie Photography were the ones! Laura went to meet Mandy to get everything signed up and upon her return she could only report that Mandy is “a bit crazy!”, hence the Dottie name! When Phil eventually met with Mandy around a month before the wedding, he confirmed the craziness but with all that aside, she knows what she’s doing and knows how to get “that” shot! Mandy and Julie really became part of our day. They joined in, had fun and blended in with the guests. It took away from the stuffiness that you sometimes get from a photographer, as we’ve seen at other weddings in the past. Since the wedding, everyone has commented on how fantastic the pictures are and we really couldn’t have asked for anything more. Dottie Photography would come highly recommended. You only have to look at their work to see what they can do!

A wedding at Banham Zoo for Laura and Philip

Laura and Philip booked us a few years ago now and had to postpone there wedding for a year when they had a unexpected little arrival…..

Laura got ready at Bluebell barns, where the light was lovely for detail and getting ready shots.The venue was Banham zoo, I love animals so this was a great venue for me, we took some signs and everybody got into the spirit of it all x

A lovely wedding at Hedingham Castle for Lisa and Neil

This was out first wedding at Hedingham castle in Essex and we love this venue, I think i would defiantly want to invest in a new 1DX if i was shooting weddings there a lot…just so i would not have to use any flash at all during the ceremony and could capture more of the lovely candles and atmosphere. The house too is fab with its lovely interiors, i could of done an entire shoot in there but you have to control yourself and remember it not my day…Its lisa and Neils! During the wedding breakfast I popped outside and took some lovely pictures in the gardens, the light was lovely!

We recently photographed Rachel and Thornton’s wedding at Stapleford Park, it was truly lovely, Rachel was lovely…she would do anything we asked her … JOY!

The wonderful Flowers were created by Helen at White Petal Workshop, The Cake was made by Katie at Couture Cakes, Rachels lovely dress was a Ronald Joyc design and Marie from Kiss the frog wedding planning was around all day to make sure everything ran smoothly, Tracey and Barry shoot the film from Midway media ….
